I may plank my Spitfire. What should I use to seal the wood for final finishing? Tissue? Dope? Some product made specially for this? Any help will be much appreciated- as I relearn, the constant barrage of help requests will slow...everyone who has helped me I want you to know how much I apreciate your patience, courtesy, and kindness.

From what I can see, you appear to use Hobby lite filler. I have bought that on a previous recommendation- how do you apply it? Brush, straight, diluted to a liquid consistency? :?:

Still the best tool. Speaking of tools, www.micromark.com which caters primarily to model railroaders has some interesting items that we might find helpful.

I planked a 400 series Spitfire, used light weight spackle to smooth it out, and sealed it with Kilz brand spray primer. It is odor free and works well . I painted with acrylic paints from walmart and sealed that with this stuff Modge Podge from my wifes craft basket. Hope this helps
