I wouldn't bid on that kit without first asking for other shipping options. $34.70 for Priority mail shipping from NY to OR is a bit high, but not too far off, what they need to do is offer parcel, which they don't list in the posting.
In the past I've sold wooden ship kits on eBay where the buyer can see the actual shipping costs estimated by USPS based on where they live, the size of the box, its weight, and if they want Priority mail or parcel. One good ol' boy in GA was shocked and mad at me that 3 day shipping from OR to GA of a 12 lb package of similar size to a B-29 box was $30. I tried to explain parcel post to him, but I don't think he got it.
That listing with 3 partial kits has some good potential. It looks like the sheet wood and clear plastics may be all gone, but there were a lot of white plastics, plans, and decals. Like Bill said elsewhere, might be a good opportunity to get the B-29 plans on the cheap.
