Well a big box came today!! :o I got the three B-29s that I lucked out on ebay!! I got one complete set of instructions and some of the other two. Canopy is missing , wheeels are there , most of the plastic is there. engine cowls etc . alot of strip wood and some various left over parts!! For the most part I think I got a GREAT DEAl!!!!All i need to do is buy some balsa and start making parts!! I wonder if guillows could hook me up with a canopy or ill have to scratch make one? they must have some molds laying around? Or does anyone on hre have some left over parts from a previous build? So, mustangman....you became winner of that trio. I saw 'em. You did ok with extra parts, but alas, a missing canopy. You're intelligent enough to scratch build if you want. Just look at some books, photocopy what you can, check on line, visit copier dept at big box office supply store to enlarge, reduce pix, or get help...their staff usually good.. They're also reasonable, if eg you factor S&H charges elsewhere for part, unless someone here can help. But, you can do it eg in panel format like the real thing. Use celluloid from dollar store pix frame and solid pix hanging wire.

Glad one of our members won something desired. I've lost out an awful lot lately there...seems ebay pro bidders get me at final moments too often. Good luck on your build. Oh, there was a soviet version of that plane, so in your search, keep in mind. It was based on a downed B-29 during the war. Soviets copied it I understand. Hey, Glad you got item wanted.

David Duckett has a B-29 kit with damaged canopy so I think he was planning to make the canopy solid from wood. You could either copy his technique or maybe pay him for his trouble to ship you the damaged canopy so you can use it to make a mold that you can vacuum form from. I've got a B-29 so if push came to shove I could take castings of the canopy for you in plaster, but it would be done as time becomes available.

Use the little button at the bottom of this post to send me an email and I'll give you access to something that might help you a bit with your B-29.

Yes i was very lucky to have gotten this plane or planes I should say!I'am never that lucky and like some on here ive been out bid on planes or mustang parts at the last seconds!! I had one of these but had sold it on ebay sometime ago it was unopened! I just wish guillows would make some of the parts for them! I realize its not cost effective. what was their reason to quit making this kit? Lack of sales? just like the mosquitto, was it lack of sales? I have to get some balsa and start cutting the parts out! probablyu a winter prodject! Mark
