No email re "New Stonger Formula," so I called Elmers and found way to someone supposedly familiar with Glue All. My impression was "New Stonger Formula" should be equal or better than previous formula. The fellow seemed pressed for time to go into detail, but did say perhaps a bad batch might have been involved, or faulty storage somewhere along distribution line. He said they have not had complaints. I said they may regarding balsa models with tissue covering. He didn't seem particularly concerned, and suggested glue should be ok, if stored properly and not part of a bad batch.
In recently going to big box craft store, I could not find Titebond, other items. Perhaps at different locations and maybe under different names!? Before writing off readily available Elmer's for "stick models," would like to inquire if many of you experiencing problems with Elmer's "New Stonger Formula." Oh, rep said it should be used sparingly. (This is different how we use moreso with tissure covering.) I am a bit confused at this point. I was not that satisfied with hurried phone chat, but maybe storage a factor somewhere, and bad batches can happen. Maybe I'll give 'em benefit of the doubt, just for now, and try new Elmers. Dunno if I've helped or confused you. If you like what you're using, stay with it, if any feedback/comments re Elmers, let's hear it.
