you may find this hard to believe but as far as i know
they're the only ones that supply such a thing.
gee i hope they don't get wind of this and raise the price. :)

Go to the hardware store and get a 2x4 piece of ceiling tile and build on the backside. Cheap and works perfect. No waiting. You can get them in a lot of different places and sizes. You can cut them down for individual pieces if you'd like to build that way. Pins go in nice and easy and hold really well. By the way, if you go to a large home improvement store and find some busted pieces you could probably take them off their hands for free. I have done this several times. They are usually happy to not have to take them out to the dumpster.

Just a thought.

I gave up trying to get a building board from Guillow's so I got one from Great Planes at Tower Hobbies for about the same price.

Currently building a 400 Series Guillow's Spitfire on it in fact.

i think Gillows lost their supplier.
they must be testing ones to
see if they're good enough to put the Guillows name on.
steve
you mean SUSPENDED ceiling tiles.
i'll try that in the meantime,
but you can't beat the feel of those Guillows workboard! :)

I use cork bulletin boards, the kind with a wooden frame.

I bought one at a thrift store, and shortly afterwards found two more left out for trash.

Regular Guy,

That is exactly what I mean. I think you'll find there will be no need to have the feel of the Balsa board after you use the ceiling tile. It's just an expense that is not needed. Be sure no matter what board you use that you put it on a nice sturdy flat surface to keep from getting warps.

Good Luck!

Still having a nice day!
