Hi guys! I'm Alex, I've been lurking around here for about 3 weeks now so I'll finally introduce myself. My Dad built these models growing up, and one or two when I was too young to really appreciate them. Being as I love aviation, I am super excited to get into this hobby, and it's been great to see the builds on here (especially been following Mitch's 400 series with interest). I did try a couple kits when I was much younger (currently 27), but never got to the tissueing stage and rushed through everything.
For my first build, I've decided to scratchbuild from plans at Outerzone, rather than work off of a Guillow's Kit. Surprisingly this seems to have worked out better, as I've learned a LOT of stuff that's required me to scrap a part and start again Without further ado, here's where I'm at! I'm currently building a plug for the cockpit, and trying to decide the best way to mold the spinner and cowl. Easybuilt tissue should be here sometime next week .
Let's see how I did. What is it?
