SE5a convert to Junkers D1?

Hey All...

Here's another conversion I am working on... Since I make my own tails and wing ribs... The only problem is the Fuselage... I just look for planes that are SIMILAR...hence let me introduce Fokkers competetor...JUNKERS...



And some preliminary drawings...



I like the scale of these 200 series and wish there was more to choose from... One solution... KITBASH!!!

You just gotta figure out a way to print those corrugations on the tissue.

One might ask why not buy the kit... Well I like the 1/14 scale. For less than 10 dollars in parts from Guillows and a bit of work I build my own.

1. I can have a whole squadron of planes for what one kit would cost.

2. I like to have my models in the same scale with each other.

3. I like the idea of rubber power, now that my WW2 birds are flying I will attempt WW1

PPS Well I might not go for the corrigated steel look... It will be enough to get all the pieces to fit... You change one thing and wow...things dont line up

I've thought about building the D1 a few times, along with the JU52. Real corrugation would be interesting, as there's countless ways to do it also, but none likely easy. There's a few plans online also:
