I was having trouble with a Timer. I happen to have one of these "The Smoothie Mk3 timers in my spare parts box. I am kind of happy with the timer it is light weight, inexpensive and seems to work real well. [img

Even though attempt two is a FAIL. I did learn heaps of good stuff with this attempt. Foremost I believe that I will have to go with a more powerful motor. I just happen to have one. So there will definitely be an attempt # 3. I decided to show the attempt 2 FAIL video.http://youtu.be/9nHdZDSxdSo I think that the weight is fine I just believe I need more thrust. The motor/propeller and battery are E Flite. If I get better flights in attempt # 3 I will look part numbers up and post them.

I think the Zero just wants to be lighter. I've been having my own frustrations too lately though, with electric powered micro planes. Got a decent flight out of the Edge, but no video since my flying buddy was away. Flew it in windy conditions with my buddy taking video, and I managed to lose it, possibly out of range. Basically no damage other than regluing the motor mount onto the balsa firewall, but then again you get more nervous with each flight and never try it again. I'll have to get you going with the 500 series electric rc thing again. Weight's no problem. They just have to be flown very carefully however.

Good points Bill: I agree if I am going to go through the trouble I mine as well make it RC. Actually I have a Electric RC Foamy that flies great no problems. Where I'm at right now is rubber power so I'm going to build a 600 series kit. Hopefully this rubber kick won't last long and I'll be back to trying RC again.
