Hi,
That price sounds like the late '60s. But the box cover would probably be a better clue.
You can get the plans from Guillow, they have a parts section on the website.
That's assuming it's the no. 1002 kit.

Hello and Welcome,

Is the ws 36 inches or about 36 inches? The Guillow kit is 34-1/4 inches. These kits are 1/16 scale. If it is Guillow's I believe the kit came out in the late 60's or early 70's. I seem to remember the original price was 10.00, so that sounds right.

The kit is still produced, the kit is still die-cut. The plans are available as WILDPIG says for 8.00 and you will NEED those. If the kit is not Guillow's the plans will be helpful, but may not be the best.

So if you can negotiate a good price and complain that the kit is useless without the plans, we can help you here. You will NEED to buy the plans! I have built this model. I have half the plans left and do not see the copyright date so I am unsure where the kit came out... I just looked at my P-47 kit 1001, copyright 1969, Stuka is 1002, so it came out latter.

Mitch

PS: The current retail price of the kit is 82.99, and ALL replacement parts are available for the Guillow's kit.

Warplane,

That sounds like a good price. You will still NEED to buy the plans. We can not share them, as the kit is still being produced, and Guillow's has the copyright. But the good news is you can get any replacement part you need from Guillow's. When you have the plans, it will show you EVERY balsa part. If you need to, you can cut out your own parts. If your kit has a printed price of 10.00 on the box, my bet it is 40 years old.

Actually, Mark (the admin) has informed us in the past that it is ok to share the plans with someone who obviously owns the kit. However, I don't have any of the 1000 series plans and I would advise buying them anyways as that beats trying to print out a scanned copy.

Would like to see a photo of the kit.
