i have lots of belcranks and control horns as well. they build up after building lots of the bigger planes for something other than u control

got some paint her over the weekend. unforchunatly, i sprayed the paint inside my room, and the particles from the spray went all over the floor. just little specks, and some got on my feet (it rubs right off) and i tracked some out onto the carpet in the basement. :oops: lession learned. i wont be able to work in there till i clean up all the specks the ground.

anyways, here she is.

thank you Squish. if you look closely on the first pic, you can see a slight blue color. this is the paint on the floor, which is comeing up onto my feet.

an acetone soaked paper towel will knock that paint off the floor, not to worry...

i dont even need acetone. it is like powder on the floor. i just have to wipe it up with a paper towel.

ive finally cleaned up the paint off the floor in my model room, so building could continue so i did not give up on it

i got the mount mounted to the plane/fire wall. the firewall consists of the 1/16" thick plywood part that came in the kit, and two 1/16" balsa layers that are glued with CA cross grained. this will make it nice and strong.

the tatone mount was bolted on, and the wing glued on. i used some caulk to take care of any small gaps between the wing and the fuse.

i then got started on finishing off the bottom of the wing with those stringers.

That does look really nice, but i have 2 questions.
1. do you know how to fly u-control?
2. what do you intend to use the plane for? Flying around in circles, or doing loops and wingovers?

ummmmmm id say i know.

U control is really quite simple. the hardest part is probably learning how to start the engine quickly. then its just running to your position in the middle of the circle, and giving your ground crew the ok, then he lets go of the plane (and runs for his life hopefully away from the circle) and you are off. the other thing is that you will do, is over control. basically when you take off, too much up elevator, then it goes really high, and you pull the down elevator all the way. then its up and down and up and down until you either get it sorted out or you crash it. BE CAREFUL! you dont need as much up elevator as you need. the more practice you get though, the better.

for initial flights ill just go in a circle. then ill take her through some high G's and figure out if it can handle a loop. i doubt it, but.... u just have to use your judgement. i would probably do a looop on a flying wing first.
