Whew! its been a short while since ive been back, but the project continues. I wanted to have the fuse done by Thanksgiving, so im running a couple of weeks behind. Pix are over on virtualaerodrome. Got the fuse finally finished with substition of basswood for kit 3/32 stringers. Boy what a difference that makes, and the sacrifice for weight over strength is well advised. One note, ive found quite a difference in price of basswood stock between craft and hobby stores, so it pays to shop around a bit. Stringing was a bit tedious cause I didnt use CA glue, but I managed to do it and keep the fuse straight with just a little twist, was worried about that, but as stringers went on, it corrected itself.

Decided to complete all stringers now, for fuse will be sitting for awhile. I can see why they called this aircraft the flying boxcar, there's plenty of room for equipment, and after some shopping around, im going to use HiTech s55 sub micro servos in the fuse, but more on that later. I was going to go six channels on this and have a steerable nosewheel and opening bomb bay doors, but might shy away from that to keep overall weight down. Four channels should do the trick.

Two of my powerplants arrived in form of s280 motors from GWS, will nee 2 more of these babies. andve to solder on some capacitors myself to eliminate brush noise interference, more on that as well.

OOOPs, I really shouldnt leave that classified material lying around like that! Never know when there might be Nazi spies lurking around :lol
