When I got "the bug" to build a balsa model a couple of years ago I ended up finding a store with about nine kits in it and we drove roughly 200 miles on our quest. The people in the store knew nothing about "stick&tissue" building, had one small bottle of nitrate dope, which they had'nt the first clue what it was for, so I bought the largest kit they had, the 1000 series corsair. All my purchases have been on-line after that experience. It would really be nice to have a hobby shop where I could actually buy off the shelf but that would be about an 800 mile drive for me and even then the prices are way out there. Anyone should consider themselves quite lucky to have a good old hobby shop within a leisure shopping distance. My hobby would suffer dearly without the internet.
