Fixing broken planes

Postby Squishyp38 » Tue Mar 01, 2011 2:26 pm

I was test gliding my rufe, because I figured that it actually was NOT too heavy to fly, but I accidentally broke some of the wing spars. My question is if this happens, do I have to cut the tissue off then splice the broken parts and recover it?
The P-38 is arguably the best... Forget that, it is THE BEST fighter of world war two, and is epically AWESOME!

You can repair it. Here is a video link of someone repairing a balsa model airplane. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erxs74Vi9wI
There are other video links on this forum, I'll bump the thread up to the front page.

If you can break it, you can fix it.

Just strip off some of the tissue where the damage is, replace or strengthen the broken parts, and recover.
