Malcom Hood that fits a 905 Mustang

Anyone out there have a Malcom hood that will fit a 905 Mustang? If not, would a 400 series Spitfire canopy substitute for it?

I'd think about making a mold, and you can have exactly what you want. Been using a heat gun to heat the plastic, and then quickly pull it over the mold. If you make a pull frame just a bit larger than the mold, they work well.
Last on I did here, with instructions on the technique: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpos ... stcount=33

Thanks Bill. I did some looking into that right after you posted. I will give it a go and see what I can do. I wish I was set up for vacuum forming.

Bill, thanks for posting that link. I used your technique (foil tape wrap) today to successfully plunge-mold a big bubble canopy for a 24" span T-28.

Cheers,

Mike

Looks good, and the foil tape is good stuff. I did a few with masking tape, but the foil tape can withstand high temperatures without dislodging.
