Mr. Burns:
We're working from a plan here, not a kit. One of the neat things about Guillow's plans is that all the parts are templated on the plans, so that you can make your own parts. So, all you need are the plans, and you can virtually build the plane. Well, except for the plastic parts, but that's another subject.
Comet kits, when properly archived include a scan of the printwood, and therefore can be built. Comet kits in generally have no plastic parts, well, other than the canopy, and again, that's another subject.
(Comet was bought by Guillow's back in the day, and that's why we all consider it legal to post Comet stuff on the Guillow's board...)
So...
The plan we're playing with here is a duplicate of the plan from the 1951 (no sh*t 60 years) kit. According to my research, Comet made only 2 chopper kits, both this R-6 but in two sizes. Not sure if the 18" one is the big one or the small.
I have blown the plan up to create a 42" version, and also have the plan in the original roughly 18" version.
Send me a note to my e-mail address below, and let me know which you want, and I'll put a zip file in your inbox...
