Jensheydel, i like yours better. sorry squish.. he outgunned you.

this is where i have posted my design since it isnt really guillows. i used guillows three views but.. dont think that counts, so i dont post them here.

ill take you to the third page of my thread because that is where my most recent post is, but i would encourage anyone to go back in it. you can see the 3D models of my fuselage i made. now, i was just learning this program, so the first ones are not as good as the most recent ones.

Who needs laser cutting? I could not use the kit wood because of age, so I scanned the wood and traced in Coreldraw, then cut it out. Comet used 5/64 balsa for this kit and in a lot their older kits, well I have not ideal where to buy that so there are a couple of options. 5/64 is in between 1/16 and 3/32 inch so using one of those two would work with 1/16 being the best choice. For me I wanted to keep it close to original as possible so I make 5/64 from 3/32 sheet by putting the wood between 2 5/64 dia. music wire and sanding the thickness. This is a fast and easy build and should be done before my covering comes in for the Guillows Nieuport.

She is about 13 1/4", but by the time I finished sanding and shaping the wing tips, she is at 13 inches, just big enough for peanut scale. I built this little bird when I was a kid and she flew pretty good. Typical Comet plans, leaves a little building up to the imagination, like the landing gear. I remember mine broke off on the first landing and the rest of the flights she was flew were without gear. This time I am making wired landing gear, and moved the motor peg up for easy rubber installation. I will have to take a picture of the bones of all 3 Nieuports next to each other before covering them.

It never worked. Everything broke, and when I finished I almost threw it away. The last one I did turned out better thatn the last kit I did, but I said no more scratch built for a while. I admire your skills, Sir.

I am waiting for my tissue to arrive and now I have the Comet Nieuport all done waiting for the tissue. Plane weighs 10 grams minus the wheels. The wheels weigh over 5 grams so I will replace them. As you can tell I pretty much built it per the plans and will cover with Easy Built tissue. I don't like using Esaki on these small planes. I think over the next day or so I will put my RC Nieuport together and get a picture of all 3 next to each other before covering.
