yes, it seems that the only ones that notice the problems are us modelbuilders... my parents think every plane I build is perfect... I wish that were true but if i'm the only one that realizes all the mistakes, all the better!! I won't complain.

While it is true that most people won't notice, the whole point of a model is to create an accurate and detailed representation. It would be a disservice to not point out such an error so that the modeler can decide if they want to fix it or not. If it were me I would be busy trying to get that decal turned around, even if it meant buying a new one.

Thanks David, it is good to have someone experienced and knowledgeable to point out our errors so that we may remedy them.

you may notice how the bottom of the decal has been cut so that it does not hang off the edge. when i did this, i thought i had it the right way and was making the cut on the right side of the decal, but i soon found i had done it on the wrong side. i know it stands out, but it will have to be pardoned until i order a new one. unforchunatly, i will order when i get something from guillows, like a kit. it would be a waist to pay 10 bucks for a piece of paper to be sent do you.

The step-ins should have been made flush with the skin for true simulation, the ailerons need a little tweaking, and as noted about the wing decal,other than that you put out a pretty good looking Hellcat.

i am missing the thing about the ailerons. they are hanging down because of gravity.

Man, I love the rivet work on the bottom. I have doubled the plans for the 503 Hellcat. It will be RC for the park.

a Sopwith pup for micro r/c with a 12 inch span. i wont be posting it here, as it is not a guillows, but you can follow along on the SFA, where i will be posting it.

My new hellcat next to the smaller one. i built that one in... ohh... i believe 6th grade. that was only 3 years ago. i thought i had done an excellent job on that one when i finished it, but compared to my big one... no comparison.

The little one is still not bad, better than the one I built in 6th grade (which was destroyed in a crash)
