if you are building one of the small scale warbirds or one with a thin le/te, then i just cut and crack. add a generous amount of glue, and you are good to go. picture a piece of wood lets say 1/16" thick and 1/8" wide. if we have this lying flat on a surface, and we want to crack it and glue it for dihedral or something, you might want to go about it like this: use a razor blade, and cut through it partially. then, when you apply your bend, the "trench" or cut you have just made actually closes when the bend is made. this works well with thinner trailing edges.
