Masking Plastic Parts For Painting

want to paint some wheels
they're supposed to be black tires and
silver in center
1/32 scale and using Testor's acrylics
brush and airbrush
any tips on painting these?

I just use very good quality brushes. That does make all the difference in getting smooth, even, straight lines. Other than that, just give the plastic a slight scuffing with a small piece of fine sandpaper. You only need to scuff it slightly, allowing the paint to adhere to the smooth plastic.

Go to an art store, or Micheals craft store and buy a couple of good quality brushes. They start at about $5 and up.
