Cox Engines

Postby regular guy » Fri Dec 16, 2011 4:49 pm

is anybody motivated to have those made again?
what is the status of the plans and tooling for Cox engines
that are owned by Estes now?
because i read a personal anecdote about how Revell
just tossed a bunch of stuff in the dumpster one time
do Guillows kits still have these engines listed on boxes?
Estes has been unresponsive to any inquiries about this

A answer to your question is that cox was bought out by xenalook out of canada , you can still buy parts or engines from them! I have bought many parts from gaskets to glow plugs. They get parts made for these engines.you can look on ebay also. I sent bernie a email he said that there is still some stuff there at Estes , molds for planes and he said that they have no idea what they have there nor do they care! I don't think you will ever see any planes being reproduced such as the plastic ones, due to liabilty and also lack of interest. it was just a year or two that cox had those micro warbirds then pulled the plug altogether. Now those are being marketed by gravity. I hope this answers your question Iam sure other people from this forum could shed more light also! Mark
