Lost my email contacts!

My computor crapped out a couple of weeks ago and I was unable to recover my email address book. So those whom I e mail and vica-versa, can you please email me your addy again, as I do not have that info anymore.

did you over write with a new OS or did you use a new drive
and what email program were you using.

Cause if you got a new drive and kept the old hard disk i can walk you through how to recover them (probably)

New OS on the old drive. I had XP, but installed Windows 7. When I installed 7 it asked me to format the drive, so I did. Assume that all is lost now.

XP was crashing, locking up, and got to the point where I could not open Explorer or Outlook Express. There was corrupt files, others were now missing, etc. Big mess to say the least.

Ahh, young love.

My 6 year old laptop still has WinXP on it that is nearly unusable, we're talking 20 minutes to start up and extremely slow performance. Just one of the many reasons why I use Ubuntu on it like I have since the day it arrived on my door step. But even Linux won't save you from a full format of the hard drive. An Apple PC connected to a time machine with regular backups will, hence why I have one for my wife's laptop.
