UK Builders

Not a build question or guillows query so don't hate me but on channel 5 tonight is a documentary called "WW1 Top Gun: Revealed"

The write up states that it is a "Documentary showing the rapid development of the fighter plane during the First World War as pioneering aircraft manufacturers such as Britain's Geoffrey de Havilland and Dutchman Anton Fokker vied for supremacy in the sky"

I just thought some of you guys in the UK might fancy watching it as there are some WW1 kits in the Guillows range. I have set it to record as I'm not sure my wife will fancy that show. :D

My building has become very slow due to my wife giving birth to our first child but I am currently working on a 406 FW190 RC conversion (Totally jumping in at the deep end) but after that I have a big build up of 500 series so I'm going to get back to good old fashioned rubber power.

Take it easy.

Congratulations on your first child!

Any chance you can put your recoded version on YouTube for those of us here in America? That sound pretty interesting.

Cheers to you and yours,

Hi Pauli

I'm recording the programme onto my Humax PVR box so I might be able to take it off on a memory stick but it might push me to the limit on my technical abilities.

The only other thing that I thought of is that channel 5 over here in the UK have a catch up website so it will be on there after it has been aired on TV. The website is http://www.channel5.com/demand5 and I found the information for the programme on http://www.channel5.com/shows/revealed/ ... n-revealed. It looks like its going to be a great show.

I would check demand 5 out and see if you can access it in the states. There might be country restrictions I'm not sure

Some of the descriptions said "With exclusive access to 'The Vintage Aviators', a unique fleet of replica aircraft owned by director Peter Jackson ('The Hobbit', 'King Kong'), the programme includes a series of dazzling aerial experiments, as present-day test pilots push the meticulously re-created planes to the limit".

I just caught an ad for it and it looks like they might build a plane but I'm not sure.

I'm looking forward to this one.

Thank you for posting the link to the WWI Aces TV show. As you suspected, it said, "You are not allowed to watch this program from your location or country" It was really madening to see that there was a show about the Falklands War that I couldn't watch either!! I'm somewhat of a buff on the conflict, and the anniversary is near. Damn!! I guess Rupert M. wants us watching only his American affiliate stations. LOL!! Oh well.
Thanks just the same. I'm very appreciative.

All the best,
Pauli
