Cessna Skyhawk (Kit 802) Assembly Qestion

I am looking at the fuselage parts and am somewhat confused. Fuselage parts A-3 and A-4 are of different thicknesses. The same is true for A-6/7 and A8/9. There appears to be one each of parts A-3, A-6, and A-8; whereas, there are two each of parts A-4, A-7, and A-9. Is the intention to glue the thinner parts together so that they are the same thickness as the thicker parts? Example: Glue two of the A-4 parts together and then glue them to part A-3. Any and all input will be greatly appreciated.

Take a look at Bill Parkers' thread, he is building the 172.

Some of the Guillow kits have duplicate parts that are not used. I have never seen where there are two of the same formers glued to together on a Guillow model. Could be different on that model. It is rather large and maybe it needs the strength. Study the plans carefully, you'll find the answer.

The "A" parts are always side keels of some sort for the fuselage.

here i have a photo of the A8/A9 side keel. if you look closely at the instructions just near where you are supposed to build the fuselage on the plan they show the details for the side keels. this plane is special because it has two side keels on each side. one is 3/32". the other, you will find that it is the one that goes towards the rear of the fuselage, is only 1/16" thick. the idea is that you glue them together as per the plans (you really do need to read the instructions carefully, as the answer is on them already most of the time) and then you are supposed to sand the 3/32 one down gently so the thickness of it all blends smoothly to the 1/16". this creates a taper you will notice. you can see that in my picture. hopefully this helps.

I believe the upper keel is the same way.
