PICTURE LOGOS BESIDE WARPLANE COCKPITS

Postby woolies » Sun Dec 09, 2012 8:31 am

I LIKE TO "DRESS-UP" MY MODELS AS SHOWN IN COLORED PHOTOS OF REAL WW2 FIGHTERS. I FIND LOTS OF INFO ON NOSE ART, BUT CAN FIND NOTHING ABOUT THE COLORED LOGOS (OR WHATEVER THEY ARE CALLED), FOUND MOSTLY BELOW THE COCKPIT CANOPY ON THE SIDE OF THE AIRCRAFT. I KNOW THE U.S. AND GERMANY USED THEM. WHAT ARE THEY NAMED AND WHERE IS A REFERENCE TO THEM FOUND? I HAVE HAD NO SUCCESS. THANKS FOR ANY HELP.
