I went that route last time I've built this kit two or 3 times now now and it comes out the same 3 issues at this point in the build EVERY time. The M2 and m3 pieces go together and the plan shows them fitting together tight, but they do not reach where they are supposed to. They would roughly be the same size on EVERY kit. Laser cut or Press wood. Which tells me that this should be a common problem. I bought the laser cut kit in the hopes that they would have fixed the issues I had on the last pair of times I built the plane.

I hate having incomplete or non completable projects due to parts fit/plan issues.

It is a common problem. I just looked at build photos of mine, and sure enough, the parts did not quite fit together to form a smooth curve on the window frame. I'd post them, but Guillows said I've reached my photo quota. I imagine I must have added a bit of wood and sculpted a smooth window frame contour, since the window glass now fits properly.

Joe,
In the very first photo you posted, it's looks like M3 is too short (when pinned to the plan). You could insert a small section of balsa between the blunt end of M3 and the side of A2.

There must be an error in the kit. You've experienced it on a prior kit, so has Bill G. I built my 150 over 15 years ago, so I really don't recall how those pieces went together. Does seem like I had difficulty in that area of construction.
From what you just said, obviously this ain't your first rodeo. You didn't ask but, here is a bit of advice.
I wouldn't get too caught up in the exact pattern of that rear window. For a complex shape, I cut a stiff paper pattern of the window and fit it to the model, first. Seems like there is always a little variation that requires a slight modification to the pattern. I haven't built the laser cut version and yes, I would expect a more exact fit of parts, also.

I THINK i got something that WILL work and it pretty closely matches what I am seeing in the plan.

It LOOKS like M3 is just shaped a little wrong.

The Detail view on the plan is also incorrect and thus a bit misleading, looks like its stretched about 3/16th of an inch.

I found that H5 the curved pieces just broke (the wood was really not amiable to bending real good) easier to copy it with some 1/32

I broke it at the right curves and glued a 1/32 over it then sanded the curve nice it looks better that way.

Ill post a picture Thursday or this weekend.
