Little sanding to do, I am not a pro Joe, sorry to be rude just, enjoying building with balsa, coming from plastic. this is a challenge.

I didn't realize how big of a prick I came off as till I read it later. My Apologies.

i got caught up in work mode and wasn't paying close attention to my word choice (when dealing with people that have the IQ of mayonnaise from a particular part of the world where personal space and caste issues become workplace issues I tend to get stuck in that actively hostile mode in response to their passive aggressiveness)

The build looks great. I will say and recommenced a block plane to start the rounding of the wing leading edge.

Nice model. That propeller looks like a good size for that airplane. Not that you might fly it, just that sometimes these kits don't have sufficient size props.

By the way, a little trivia: N6000W was the first Piper Cherokee 140. I think that aircraft is still in existence.

Did I miss a rude comment from Joe? Was it deleted? I don't think Joe has ever been rude or prickish before. It is a very nice build and a nice guitar. Do you play out at all?

Joe was just pointing out why I hadn't trimmed (rounded) leading edge. Didn't know what trimming was, and this was part of the construction procedure.
Going to strip tissue,and trim leading edge, got to do things correct. Re tissue, or just might leave it skeletal.
As for the guitar, it has taken a back-seat as I seem to have a piece of balsa in my hand rather than a plectrum

I think you did a VERY nice job for your FIRST kit. I would leave it as is and build another.
When I build a wing I take alot of time cutting and triming and sanding the LE, I also sand the entire wing, until the "Burnt Lazer Cut" is gone.
My 2 cents... Leave it alone, Balance it, See if it FLYS... Then build another...

i got me one of them to do the leading edges. Dunno how good it would work on the musketeer with the bent wing but it works amazing for the cessna 150 and the other kits.

Keep it away from the midget with the guitar. cause that blade is SHAPRER THAN HELL. (my index finger is missing a chunk from an accident when i was 8 or 9. (having really cool grand father with an awesome wood shop I got to run and USE constructively any thing I wanted with supervision EXCEPT the lathe)

Paul, great job with your first balsa model, I'm impressed to say the least . I believe the leading edge got Joe's attention just because the rest is so cleanly built. I tend to agree with Mitch, it's probably too much work now to go back and remove the tissue and sand the structure. You can always use this one as your test vehicle to get familiar with flight trimming. That leading edge is not going to make an earth shattering difference. Then you'll have an excuse to build another model with a properly sanded leading edge...
