The Jet Age

Postby solumn_eagle » Mon Jan 07, 2013 12:26 pm

Hey guys,
I am just curious if anyone has pictures of any of the static Jet kits. I was thinking about buying the F-16a Fighting Falcon, and was just curious to see what they look like completed. Thanks

Hey s-e,
Just so you know, David fills in between the stringers with sheet balsa. Sands that smooth and uses filler putty to get that kind of finish. Not that you couldn't build just like he does, just that DD puts a considerable amount of extra work beyond what's in the kit form.

I was wondering how he got it to look so smooth... Thanks for the info

I would think that the A10 would be a good subject for Guillows, probably with built-up fuse construction like the small P51 and Skyraider.I built a small 30mm EDF balsa fuse version that went together pretty well, and actually flew well also.
