I need Olive Dope

Postby Fuel » Sun Nov 26, 2006 3:31 pm

My hobby shop had one 1oz bottle of olive drab dope for my Thomas Morris Scout which did not allow me to put two coats on. I need one more but cannot find it anywhere. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Nope. The Pactra section didn't show it. Neither did the paint section. I guess I will have to have the hobby shop order some.

Fuel..........I was just there again. Go to the Testors home page and put olive drab into the "quick search" at the top left. When I do that, about a ten choices show up........LUCK.........JGJ

If you want true dope you might have a problem. I've been told that Aero Gloss is discontinuing their dope products. I needed silver dope and both my local hobby shops do not have it and their supply of dope is almost gone, anyway. Aircraft Spruce has dope for full size aircraft, about $65.00 a gallon and that's the smallest size they sell. Maybe Aero Gloss has a website, you could try that.

Thanks everyone. I gave up and just got some acrylic Olive drab. It worked well, I painted it last night.
