I got her built and I think it looks pretty dang good. Just gotta put the windshield on and the landing gear. I plan to do some extension to the line work on the nose after I permanently adhere the nose to the body. I also have to draw on the control surface lines.

This was an OLD kit the box art looked different from the catalog. Not a laser cut it had really nice wood not a lot of crunch though when building the kit the ink on the wood is Deep leading me to believe its an older kit
You could see the heavy line on the paper plans as opposed to the very nice new CAD/PDF drawings.

Any thoughts comments Criticisms?

I think it looks pretty dang good too.

In between projects I am building this plane also, but with the nose cowl i cut a hole out of the firewall,same size as B1 with a couple of slots top and bottom of holes approx 25mm and glued into nose using CA. Added pieces of hard balsa into firewall slots and it fitted nicely, snug and flush into B1.
It has been said here "that a larger prop would be better if you intend to fly"
I put Landing gear and wheel pants on before I intend to tissue. We all have our different way of working, just what works best for ones self

Interesting idea there Paul.

That is one thing I am Finding now with my Nose blocks.

I build in a Flat surface but sometime during the builds somehow B1 is not staying completely flat and the Back plates to the nose blocks do not seem to want to stay Perfectly flat and mate properly.

I LIKE the idea of using a Key block system to keep the nose block on and as tightly fit as possible.

I put t he landing gear on last because... I don't have a good way yet to build them if they are a lot of complicated bends. I also do not USUALLY use em. but on the civilian planes. i force the issue.
