Covered stab and rudder.


I have changed the method I cover with. Here's how I go about it.

1. Glue stick is run over ONLY the edges that adhere to the tissue.
2. The tissue is laid over the frame and firmly pushed onto the edges. (covered dry)
3. Most of the wrinkles are removed and tissue is pulled as taut as possible by hand.
4. After the glue dries, a coat of Hand sanitizer ( , ethyl alcohol) is given to shrink the tissue.
5. The tissue is finally sealed of with Krylon Crystal clear spray.

I decided to skip covering the sides of the fuselage, so I can access the rubber motor easily.


Looks like I can get it at 25 g AUW .
Again, I am focusing only on flight and not much on appearance.

It seems to me that leaving the sides of the fuselage open would cause a lot of drag.

Birdbuster, I think I'll test it open on a few flights and if it causes too much of a hindrance, I'll cover that up too

Here is the finished Mustang, no decals, no paint, ready for flight tests.




Some day in the near future, I hope I find a good flying field( ) and get to fly my Cessna 170 and Mustang.
