400 series plane suggestions

Hello, everyone. I haven't posted much recently because I haven't been able to do much. Anyway by the end of this year I'm planning to pick up one 400 series and one 1400 series plane. From the 1400 series I think I'll build the F-16a, but I want to build a 400 series plane for rubber powered FF. Which one of them has good flight characteristics on rubber? I dont think I'd want to build another Mustang or Zero, so that leaves me four choices.

I've been thinking of building the P-40 for rubber FF; although I've seen it posted elsewhere that it's a tricky flyer.

Does it have to be a 400? Because I can recommend the 900s as great fliers on rubber.

The Skyraider I think has a lot of potential- it has a big wing area and very light weight compared to the other 900s.

The 900s are just semi scale- I guess its what you want from the kit...

FsFalcon, I thought I'd build the P-40 too, but stx44's post made me change my mind. Stx44, I think you're right, there is no compulsion to build a 400 series plane. I should probably learn flight trimming and stuff before moving on to larger models. But since I've already built a mustang of the 900 series (yet to fly, i'm currently looking for a good field in my neighbourhood) I thought I'd want to see a larger plane fly, even before getting any to actually fly at first. I think I'll practice trimming on my P-51 and Cessna 170 before moving on. But I'm still open to suggestions for a future build .
