Laser cut Avenger

Postby squirlye » Fri Dec 20, 2013 6:16 pm

I finished the laser cut Avenger that Guillows sent me. I have built most of the 500 series planes, but I never built the Avenger before. The only laser cut kit I have ever built is the new 4500 series Hellcat. And let me let tell you the Avenger was one of the nicest kits I have ever built. every single piece was cut perfectly they fit perfect. No re cutting or sanding to make anything fit. It went together in about 4 hours using white glue. I still have to cover it, but here are some pictures.ImageImageImage

Thanks for the complement "Dog" I am starting to cover today. If a I am lucky I should have all the tissue on by tomorrow. I rarely ever get enough time to do a lot of work in a single day. Have you flown your avenger ? and If so how did it fly ?

I did fly my Avenger. http://youtu.be/aUMBwxJsBCo. I hope you fly your Avenger. I am hoping it will do real well in the air. Do you have any weight measurements. The only measurement I'm really interested in is the AUW ( All Up Weight) I did read another 500 series laser build the modeler brought the complete uncovered model in at I think around 20 grams! That's amazing to me anyway. I really have high hopes for these kits. You Modelers are doing a excellent job with the prototypes.
