its 12 ' from prop hook to dowel, so I'm starting with a 24" lenghth of the grey kit rubber. yes, I also tried many props, and found the kit one works best.I cant wait to fly it. I made alot of improvements from what I learned on the first model. I still am trying to understand how the airfoiled horizontal stab affects flight, and what adjusting it would do. I also at some point intend to make a new wing and tail from contest balsa. It's amazing the difference in the wood you can pick out at the hobby store. oh, by the way, she weighs in at 55g's completed. I also think I want to try, at some point, after I gain a bit more experience, braiding my rubber motors as in Mitch's post. But as of now, i,m happy just getting them to fly in a predictable manner. soon enough I'll go after longer duration.
