I don't think anybody makes CO2 motors anymore. You can get Co2 motors from Ebay of course. However, apparently Co2 motor are very precise and sometimes the motors are worn out by the time they come up for sale on Ebay. I think it might be better to order a professionally rebuilt motor from http://www.blacksheepsquadron.com/index.html.

The problem with Co2 motors I guess with rubber motors too is that they can fly OOS ( Out of Sight), get stuck in high trees and get lost in the weeds. Were talking about a expensive Co2 motor. That would have to smart some to lose a Co2 motor. Of course there is always Peanut flying indoors. However, round here that's not likely to happen.

I think the 500 Series would fly much better with a CO2 motor. I am getting up the gumption to try a 500 Series kit. I will def mod it out to make it lighter. I really like the canopies.

Thanks guys y'all are the best. My husband got me item #121 &119 rubbers yesterday from Guillows. I have a couple of big planes my husband ordered me. They are not guillows so kinda of scared to start on them just yet. Kinda getting extra practice on the little models.

I don't see on the box if this model is laser cut or not. The parts do come out really easy. I think I am off to a good start :-) to much fun :-)

What I think you have there is a Die Cut 500 Seires kit # 504. I know Guillow's is presently changing the 500's over to Laser Cut. I don't think they are available quite yet for the 500 Series. If you can build a Die Cut 500 I'd say you can build anything. BTW your model is looking great. You are doing fantastic work for a beginner.

Thank you widdog.
My husband picks on it finds everything I got wrong .. so I pick it apart and fix it. He makes me crazy. One of the ribs the notches are higher than the other side and he fused about it. I just frown and put it down. Here I thought this model was going smooth going together good.
I guess what I am trying to say is thank you for your kind words..
change of subject..
I was so proud that my guillows kit was made in the USA. Then I saw the box was made in china LoL :-)

Wabi-sabi (侘寂?) represents a comprehensive Japanese world view or aesthetic centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. The aesthetic is sometimes described as one of beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete.

It's not laser cut. they just started 500's in laser cut. and the box tells me its older. You'll know a laser cut kit when you get one. Dont worry, and I guarantee it will make you even more enthusiastic about these kits.

Looks like good wood. Do you got a scale, I call them "Drug dealer scales". I got a dirty look when I bought it at Best Buy for $8.00. If not, get hubby to get you one. Woman can get whatever they want if they play with our "heads". lol.

David I tried the cutting back on the wood glue 50/50 water glue mix got to spoiled on ho the straight wood glue worked. So I have been really careful about how much of it I use and I believe it has been doing well. Sorry if I miss type to many coorslight hehehe probably shouldn't admit to that huh?

It's 1 meter. Its still got to do with Guillows, cause i'm building it for a low wing aileron trainer. Before I fly my 400 Warbirds I need practice, and a larger plane, I'm told is more foregiving. AS much as I love My Champ, I'ts taught me all it can. I cant believe its still alive! It is a perfect trainer, The Champ, as long as there is NO wind.
