It's alive! Bf-109 laser cut

Postby Brenda » Tue Sep 16, 2014 1:04 pm

So now it's ready to fly. Not showroom looking bird as I built it to fly not to be a hanger queen. I put on a Cox .049 sure start and removed the choke tube. Using a #2 slant tank with Sig 25% fuel in it. Ear splitting comes to mind. Spinner is Cox yellow. Yellow dope is Sig. Grey dope is MidWest. Brodak lead outs using stock Guillows bellcrank. Control horn is also Brodak with Great Planes quick connect. Controls I used Great Planes CA style rather than the cloth provided. I'm going to try to fly it at Boeing/L3 Torrance soon. Short vid of the Cox in action.

Good luck Brenda. Looking forward to a vid of the flight - assuming you have a camera person.

Looks great in the video, do you have any pics of the model close up?

I do have a person to run cam and hold plane. There are a few more still photos on Guillows FaceBook page. No real closeups on nose as I had Sig dope bleed the tape.

I couldn't get the video to play but, I did go to the Guillows Face book page as mentioned & it played just fine there. One scream'n demon! Two thumbs up 8)
