Control Line Trainer

Postby Brenda » Wed Oct 01, 2014 8:36 am

Well this past Sunday I had a error with my laser cut Bf-109. Tried to fly in a bad area. Wind came up and made 109 balloon up past the 45deg mark. Lines went slack. I tried to back up to get lines tight again. Tripped over my own feet and cracked my head on concrete. At that point the 109 yard darted in. Tore entire nose off. Bf109 is 100% done and will never fly again. My mistake thinking that after 30 years I would remember how to do it right off the bat.

So after smacking my head I decided I needed a trainer before risking another build up (laser cut Spitfire) that is when I found Black Hawk Models. I called the owner up and he invited me over to take a look. I picked up my trainer at noon and it was built and painted by 4pm. Yes ready to fly that quick and yes it is a kit. I didn't use CA on it either. Used Testers hot fuel proof glue. Now I have a good trainer that if it crashes I don't really care. I spent more time painting it than building! The kits I got where all made for the Cox .049 Sure Start with choke tube.

The kids in the neighborhood wanted to fly, so I put a little something together for them to learn with:
