1. If you're using a camera, I've found it worthwhile to invest in an SD card reader. Without a card reader, it was too hard for me to transfer photos from the camera to my hard drive.
2. It's a good idea to crop and shrink the photo down before uploading it. Then it lays out nicely when viewed on the screen without have to scroll around. In Microsoft Paint, click "Image > Resize/Skew."
3. When snapping the pic, press lightly on the shutter button for a few seconds first to give the auto-focus range finder a chance to work.
