Where are you getting LC 500 kits? I only see the die cut on this site.

For the moment you have to order a 500 series, "laser cut kit", directly from Guillow's . You must specifically ask for a 501 through 509 kit in laser cut, the price is the same for the old die cut kits as for the NEW laser cut kits. Guillow's didn't raze the cost of the 500 series kits that are laser cut, this was a very cool thing for Guillow's to do. As I have written since I got my first laser cut 500 series. The quality of the laser cutting on the NEW laser cut 500 series is the best I have ever seen, the lines of the laser cuts are so fine,'they look like very fine hair. Guillow's has man aged to reduce the number of sheet needed to build the same kit ! The wood quality of the two 500 series LC kits I have purchased is first rate. If you call you're order in be sure and ask for a 500? whatever kit in Laser cut you will be pleased with the kit they send you. I hope you had a great Christmas and will have a swell New Year. :D

I concour, these are great kits with excellent quality wood. The 500 series have always been a good seller at my LHS. I just wonder how much disappointment they brought when new builders tried to build them with the lousy wood. Now there is no doubt anyone can build these new kits out of the box and get them to fly for a few seconds. The 900 series would also be a good hit if Guillows laser cut them. Let's face it, most new builders don't want to build a 600 series Piper Cub when they could build a cool WWII plane. Guillows has digitally redrawn the plans, so making changes to the kits would not be difficult. I would like to see Guillows design and offer after market parts for micro RC.

I have found that Guillows LC is 1st rate. The burning or charring is the most minimal I,ve seen. I got some other kits look like maybe they are not completely competant at fine tuning the LC heat settings or whatever it has.
