Note to self:
Minutes before leaving to field your C170 plane for the first time, that took 3 months to make and just as long to wait to for suitable weather, do not... I repeat, do NOT temporarily place it on a shelf next to a closet door that your wife will abruptly open, thus irreparably crushing a landing gear strut.

Oh No ! I have had as many planes destroyed by other people and My own lack of common sense than My incompetance as a Pilot. An Airplane's natural habitat is in the air, and any place other is a hazard.
