I always found ideas in others work, so I am just passing along some work I did

Wanted actual wheel wells. Landing gear will be fixed down.

Solid wing tips made by laminating scrap, rough carving then filing and sanding to shape.

Extra stringers in body and wings. Test fitting wing assembly.

Planked the body and part of the wings.

Guns from brass tubing. Hand formed mounts for them.

Balsa fairings for the wing to body.

Working on the underside.

Nearly finished. Hand carved drop tank and the propellers are each hand formed from balsa and incorporated into stock plastic nose.

Nice job! Don't see people using guide coating much anymore, for an overall straight filled and sanded finish.

Beautiful work ! I love the added detail around the MG's and landing gear. You have really fared in the cowling nicely too.

Real nice paint and finish as well! Excellent - just terrific.
...you made that out of a box of sticks..?
...what is WRONG with you!

Matt,
Beautiful work!! What product do you use to "fill" the body after you are done sheathing it and before you sand it? Thanks!

You have done an amazing job. The seamless fuselage intrigues me. I have not found a workable product to get that level of smoothness. What is your secret?

The guide-coating idea is a stroke of genius! My hat's off.
