I’ve never had a problem with either Tamiya or Testors spray primers and paints..even when I used them on tissue coverings..and never a problem on the softer balsa kit vaccu-formed plastics. The solvents in the more robust sprays, like the one you mentioned, is that they can melt the softer plastics and can be incompatible with other brands. Model building is an art of many disciplines. You have to develop your structural building techniques, then you have to master your carving, covering, and cleaning techniques..then you have to work on proper sanding, sealing and painting methods..then decals and demarcations..and all of it rooted in solid research and reference materials. Each of these facets of the total effort take time to develop. Trial and error become methods and skills only with perseverance. You can repair the Corsair and save the project and take note of what works and what doesn’t.
...you made that out of a box of sticks..?
...what is WRONG with you!
