What are today's building materials vs years ago?

I have not built a Guillows type model since the days of Ambroid glue and Pactra dope. What are used these days instead of those?

Use a glue stick to glue tissue to wood.Use acrylic spray instead of dope.

One thing about glue stick for adhering tissue. You need to let it dry for several hours before shrinking it. Dry to the touch isn't good enough.

A few things have changed. Sometimes a glue stick, and acrylic spray as mentioned by others. Not really material, but I use a printer to print tissue with lozenge camo, markings, some types of ww2 wing and fuselage camo, etc
