Hello Everyone,
Just a note that DPCM / Aerowerkes is alive and well. I have pulled my line from the market so I can update the parts and plans. They will be re-released as they become available.

I have heard everyone's cries for the 100 series kits. I have been working on this series for the past 3 1/2 years and I even did a test build project on SFA. Although not yet listed on the Aerowerkes website I thought I'd pass along some info so here's the update:

Replacement Parts
Aero-Werke's now offers replacement parts for out of production kits. Each has been reconstructed and laser cut onto contest grade balsa. These were designed to aid the builder in case of lost or damaged originals. Each replacement pack contains only the main building componets and a Parts ID sheet. No stringers or leading edges are included. The builder is to furnish the original building plan. This is the result of nearly 4 years and over 600 personal man hours on this project.

Cost for the REPLACEMENT PARTS will be $14 per set plus S&H. I will gladly furnish a PDF plan ONLY with the purchase of a REPLACEMENT PACK set if you need one. It is not my intent to take anything away from Guillow but mearly to preserve their past.

Guillows bought Comet. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but that means there are hundreds of models with a dedicated following that ARE NOT being produced, even as just a printed plan. I must be missing something.

Yep, that's right. According to their custom service there are no intentions of reproducing those kits or plans at any time in the near future. I wonder how
well Comet P-38 plans, with the former and rib patterns, would sell today?
Or the many other Comet models. I recently sold my old Comet P-38 plans on Ebay for $18.00.

Maybe Guillow's keeps turning down requests for old plans because they have already licensed the rights to others. Similar with the Comet kits of which some short kits can be purchased from PVHC, surely this is through a licensing agreement.

Has anyone purchased plans from Aerodyne or the AMA? The elusive Halberstadt CL-2 kit sells for about $60 on ebay but Aerodyne has the plans for $6 and the AMA $10 (10% discount for AMA members). As far as I can tell AMA has every in production and many out of production Guillow's kits, I can't imagine they would offer them for sale if they were not licensed to do so. If no one has then I might try ordering a set of plans for the Spad and compare them to the originals.

I'm betting that will be the key to the old , lost stuff. They did not just throw them away or hide them. Most likely cottage industry that cant or wont compete in any large way. The plans could be in many places under many names.

I received the Folker D8 and SE-5A kits from Engine Tender today. The both had been opened but the contents are in good shape and seem to be complete.

The boxes and the plans are a bit yellowed. The SE-5A is copyright 1957 and has a $2.50 price printed on the box.
