Alrighty, teeny tiny update!

I have the wing skeleton built and about halfway covered with tissue. It's cheap wrapping tissue and a bit flimsy, but it's done the job so far. I got 24 sheets at walgreens for 99 cents. haha!

Alright, new problem. How do I reduce the friction between the prop and the plane? I Obviously can't just leave the prop rubbing against the front. It needs a friction-reducing thing. Remember I'm builidng from scrap, so would a drilled out button rubbing against another button work?

Never even thought of it, but I may have some actual Guillow's prop mounts. Should have sent them with the rubber bands!

Actually, I got that from the way the 405th.com organize their progress...

It's a Halo (video game) costuming group.
You make a paper shell, you resin it, you fiberglass it, you bondo it, you paint it.

So there's five steps instead of two...but you get my point....

Haha.. you don't have to.

I think I may have to modify my balsa props a little bit...there's that ratio where you get the most thrust or whatever....I decided that ratio didn't really matter when I made them...but I think it does...oops.

Here's a link to a pic of a quad blade I fashioned for my T-Bolt.

I made 2, 2 blade props, then cut the center section out of one, and glued the remaining blades to the hub of the other one.

Well, anyone's. I was just wondering how to make them.

I carved mine out from a block of laminated balsa strips. Made 2 seperate props, then cut the hub off on one, and glued the blades to the other, making a quad blade.

How did I carve them though, hard to explain. Kinda like they say about sculpturing. Just take off what is not part of what you want.
Just tried to make it look like pictures, photos, etc.......
