Actually, I'm impressed! That 2' tail fin is as wide as my model rail road table and that wing will be killer huge!

I just wonder if anyone's actually sized up the Guillow's plans and built a 1:1 plane?

Hey, don't laugh but my 22 year old wants me to build a Spit big enough to straddle over him on him mini-quad, so he appears to be in the cockpit.

Run and and down the road, wearing a Spitfire!

The biggest problem I could foresee is the darned thing trying to lift off if he got going to fast?

Just not gonna fit in the garage. 16 foot wingspan is biggest that will roll thru the door.

besides, if I build full scale... It needs to be the B-29... Now, that'd be something...

I'm doing the same thing. BUT...if i wanted to enlarge a plan, who would I go to? A store like Staples where they have large photocopiers?

You'd need to find a place with a 36" or larger printer. Here in the sates that would be Kinko's, Alpha Graphics, or one of the many smaller local print/copy places. You'll see some people print on 8.5"x11" or A4 paper then tape the sheets together, it's probably a lot cheaper and arguably less hassle .

Only have a bit of time in the evenings, so bit slower.

Example of this is the front end of the Spit fuse. Xanadu, you'll see what I mean when you get there. It has shape... I cannot wait to start the wing tomorrow morning. That beautiful curve... With luck, I'll be setting the dihedral by quitting time.

I've seen other really big models built on this form (maybe not THIS big).

I alway wonder what is done the the model after they are built? I wouldn't have enough space in my house for one!
