I only have the plans for the second one 500 series.I going to get the 1000.really into these 500 series started my hellcat now Thinking going RC withit.Traded one of my planes for a micro RC thought it would be junk I just wanted the guts it was in mint shape and I been flying it around in the house.I hate to take it apart but i will! :wink:

Wow didn,t know you had the wing almost ready !Fantastic frameing.Been working on my F6F Hellcat got the fuse stab and rudder framed today.Frame the the wings tomorow!Very cool stuff

Just superb, man...

Really smooth. You'll be able to cover that thing with virtually any medium you choose. I don't think I'd try paper tho. Just to heavy to handle without poking holes in your covering. Monocote? Or, are you going to try your hand at fabric?

I have about 32 questions, and the best way to get the answers is just be patient and wait...

Clear monokote is fairly stout and it would diplay your wood work.

I am pretty sure I am going to first cover it with a 1mm thick Depron style foam sheeting, then put another form of covering over that. The foam will give it a smooth skin look to it, allowing the next covering to be really smooth.

I made a hot wire foam slicer last year, allows me to slice foam down to as thin as 1mm.
Take a piece of pink foam insulation, and just start slicing.

Bill...............your right........Figuring out on how to strengthen the wing, and mount it solid took a little tinkering.

I used Dubro mini pin hinges for the stab and rudder.

Managed to get 1/4 of the wing done, took me 3 hours though of lots of fitting, and trimming.
