Wing plan. Going to do most of the wing in paneling. I would like a smooth skin, and I have "bent" cheap wood paneling before.

This will be a nice looking plane. I am guessing it will take some time to build. I would like to build my USA 1/3 Piper Cub someday, but that is way into the future. Good luck and have fun with this build.

Still trying to figure out this image thing. Nice example at the Udvar-Hazy NASM. This place is a modelers dream.

As for images, I use photobuckett. Its free, and most forums will take a pic sized at 640 x 480. That way you can see the whole pic and text on the page without scrolling. I will post a link to photobuckett if you want. Its easy to use.

I decided to cut the wing planform from a single sheet of thin plywood. On top of this I will glue 4 ribs on each side and bend a sheet of thin ply over the top. The stab and rudder will be made about the same way, cut from 1/4 inch ply as a single piece. The rudder will get cut out as one piece with the keels.

I need to correct something I said on a different post. This wing has 12 ribs per side. Even at 84 inches, It doesent need that many. Earlyer, I said a person should not omit ribs, but I was wrong about that. I looked at the plan for the tri-wing and there is a crazy number of ribs. It might be scale, but thats too many for a flying model. When I build my fokker, I will have to decide whether or not I want to fly it of just build to the bones. Probly the latter.
