Hello,
This is my first post here , I have been lurking on this site for several months and have learned a wealth of information on building balsa kits. I have been building plastic models for over 40 years (mostly vintage drag racing stuff and figures) I did make a few balsa aircraft as a kid and most of them ended up in more pieces than they were before assembly. I have started a Guillow's 505 Messerschmitt Bf-109 and have The wings , rudder and tail built and covered. I have the fuselage built and I am ready to cover it. My question is what type of glue is best to bond the plastic to the doped wood, also how much if any of the plastic should I cover the with the silkspan? This build will be for display only so weight is not a issue. Thanks , Bill
