I just quickly took a look at the prices these guys want for a paaschle and I got mine thru harbor freight for $63 and it's the dbl. action ,2 bottles,extra needles and nozzle, cup and hangar,plus 6 or 8 feet of hose with wrench. It's the most complete set they had and you will be hard pressed to find one better. It cleans up easily and even comes with an instruction pamphlet. It works well between 6-7lbs. all the way up. I have no need to go past about 20-25 psi except once in a while for cleaning. Yes it is a little pricey but the quality is such that you will have this until you no longer need one. If you go back a ways in the forum this has been discussed along with compressors,water separators,etc.

I also have this airbrush, its more clunky to use than the double action, but much easier to clean if you gunk it up.

Other things that I find handy are eyedroppers for thinning/mixing paints, bamboo skewers for stirring, extra jars, paper towels - odds and ends.

There is a learning curve to airbrushing. Thinning the paint properly is the part I struggle with most often. Each type of paint is different - some brands even vary between colors. Practice practice practice.

The compressor you should be looking for is an air storage tank with a compressor driven by an electric motor. You should look for one with an adjustable regulator on your supply,like 5-100 psi so you may adjust your flow. There are other compressors that work on demand and have no storage capabilities ( no tank) which work quite well also. I have one with a 3.5 gallon tank which can be charged than unplugged and left to settle for about 1/2 hour so the moisture in the air mostly settles out and the need for a moisture separator is nixed. Before recharging there is a drain at the bottom of the tank to empty out any accumulated water. Running 10-20 lbs. off this tank gives me 2-3 hrs. supply of air without having to hear the compressor run.
