2010 "G" Challenge

For those of you who don't know, I run the annual "G" Challenge on Yahoo groups. This is a one design or one series cook-up for Guillow's models. It is not officially sponsored by Guillow's, but their staff does the appearance judging and they provide prizes (kits) for the winners.

The subject for this year's "G" Challenge is 500 series kits. The model has to be built between the announcement of the rules (November 15, last year) and October 31 of the current year. All you have to do is join the Yahoo group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/guillows_g_challenge/?yguid=134236090 and post pictures of the model for appearance judging and post an entry about your model in the Challenge Entry database. This is an Internet "Postal" contest, open to anyone in the world, so flight times are on the honor system.

There is a first prize for best appearance (Doesn't have to fly for this one), a first prize for the overall combination of appearance points and flight times, and a special prize for the "Orv Olm Speed Dash" which is the fastest flight (Supposedly straight) between two points 75 feet (22.86 meters) apart. There is slightly less than 2 months left in the 2010 "G" Challenge. The final entry time is midnight, October 31. If you have already built a 500 series kit between November 15, 2009 and now it qualifies, take pictures and enter it!
